Dental hygiene research is pertinent to the growing body of healthcare knowledge, and it is the profession's foundation and a driving force in evidence-based practice. Research areas can be specific to clinical care, education, population health promotion, disease prevention, technology, and workforce issues. Dental hygienists play a fundamental role in advancing the profession through science, evidence, and clinical practice. This program aims to support the dissemination of original work conducted and authored by dental hygienists while inspiring others to consider a pathway in research.
