Healthcare is a complicated environment. Our code of ethics as dental professionals sets professional standards, while various state and federal laws govern how clinicians perform their duties. Practitioners are tasked with many complicated duties, including but not limited to providing diagnostic services, reviewing treatment options, respecting patient privacy, and delivering optimal care. Clinicians everywhere struggle with real-life situations involving ethical principles, values, and legal conundrums. This course will spotlight actual cases clinicians face daily and provide strategies to refocus and navigate common dilemmas.
